Role Overview
We are looking for a resilient and proactive Senior System Engineer to join our IT team. You will take ownership of an existing Microsoft environment (Azure, Microsoft 365 and Servers), assess its current state, and implement improvements to align with industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the company’s cloud strategy and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft-based cloud infrastructures, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft 365 (Office 365).
Contribute to the administration, operational stability, and continuous improvement of the Microsoft environment, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
Configure, deploy, and manage Azure resources such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, storage solutions, and application services.
Deploy, configure, and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and license management.
Ensure the availability, performance, security, and compliance of Microsoft cloud services and infrastructure. Take over and manage the existing Azure cloud infrastructure.
Implement and continuously enhance advanced security controls across the entire IT infrastructure to address evolving cyber threats and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry frameworks.
Assess and optimize Azure architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Manage Azure networking, security, and API Management services.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud resources while supporting application integration.
Maintain technical documentation and drive continuous infrastructure improvement.
Job requirements
5 - 10 years of experience in cloud engineering or IT infrastructure
Solid understanding of Azure services, including:
Azure DevOps
API Management
Azure automations (including logic apps, functions, …)
Networking (VNETs, NSGs, Firewalls)
Azure virtual Desktop / Windows 365
Azure Policy
Solid understanding of M365 services, including:
Exchange Online
SharePoint & teams Online
Entra ID
Intune
Defender Family (for endpoint, for cloud, for cloud apps, …)
Solid understanding of other services, including:
Active directory
Exchange SE
Windows Servers (2019-2025)
SQL Server / MySQL
Linux servers (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu)
Firewall / Network Virtual Appliance (Fortigate)
Familiarity with cloud & on-premises security principles and governance.
Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, AZ-400, MS-100, MS-101, SC-100, SC-200, SC-300…)
Familiarity with Fortinet security environments, particularly FortiGate and FortiClient EMS, would be considered a valuable asset.
Familiarity with Linux environments is considered an asset
Resilient and able to work independently.
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates) is a plus.
Good command of English & French is mandatory.
